Englewood Board of Education

The Board of Education specifies school policies, formulates budget, and appoints superintendent of public schools. Seven members are elected to terms of three years.

The Board of Education of the City of Englewood establishes a schedule for its regular business meetings for the school year. Open meetings begin at 8:00 PM, unless otherwise indicated.

All meetings will be held in the Dr. John Grieco School, 50 Durie Avenue, unless otherwise indicated. Meetings will convene at 6:30 PM and, when necessary and permitted by law, immediately adjourn to closed session. If there is no need or permitted topic for closed session, the meeting will recess until 8:00 PM at which time the meeting will reconvene in open session for the conduct of business. Action will be taken during open session.
